Q: Why do some people experience black magic effect? What can we do to fight with it?
Q: Is there any science behind black magic?
Krishna: To fight with it, first stop believing in it. Black magic works only on mentally weak people, not because it actually works but because it effects their psychology. When you think it is working, you get scared, worried, get depressed and think everything negative happening in your life is because of it.
If somebody can control your mind and life like that it is because you showed them your weaknesses and vulnerability. Fear, uncertainty, greed and jealousy and of course ignorance are these deficiencies in your meantal make up.
Just a few mantras, lemon and chillies or some kumkum and haldi or a doll or a few neem leaves cannot do any harm to anybody. A person who cannot control his own destiny cannot do any harm to others. No person has such supernatural powers as to cause harm to others just by wishful thinking. Realize that. Then nothing or nobody can effect you.
Some people try to earn money by cheating people and telling them they can do black magic on others. If you are a sucker, you believe them.
Science doesn’t accept black magic because there is no such thing actually. It just is a superstition. Your baseless belief that is effecting you mentally because you are not strong.
Q: Why do we feel thirsty after eating oily and salty foods?
Krishna: Digestion can lead to a person experiencing excessive thirst. This is the case especially after a heavy meal during the day or night. Also, oily and spicy food can cause such a feeling. This occurs because our bodily fluids are used more to digest the food that is complex, thereby depleting fluid from the body. This is the main reason why you would feel thirsty after a heavy meal.
People used to tell this before: You feel the thirst when you eat too much salt as the center for controlling it goes on alert because things are too salty and the body needs water to dilute the salt to reduce the harm it can cause to the cells of the body, that's when you start to feel thirsty. The kidneys help dilute the salt too by slowing down urine production and conserving.
In the wall of the small intestine, the salt is absorbed into your bloodstream, making your blood saltier than it was before. As the saltier blood circulates through the body, it makes the fluid outside of our body cells saltier than the fluid inside the cells. The cells notice the change right away. That’s because the extra salt outside acts like a magnet, pulling water out of the cells. The cells try to hold in the water and they send chemical messengers to the brain, protesting the saltiness of the fluid around them.
There are sensors in the thirst center in the brain that keep tabs on the saltiness of the blood. When the thirst center goes on alert because things are too salty and the body needs water to dilute the salt, that’s when you start to feel thirsty. The constant balancing of salt and water in the body helps maintain the right amount of water in our cells and in the bloodstream. That controls our blood pressure.
However, recent studies have shown that you feel more hungry (1) than thirsty when you eat more salt.
In a study carried out during a simulated mission to Mars, an international group of scientists has found exactly the opposite to what we actually thought all these years to be true. "Cosmonauts" who ate more salt retained more water, weren't as thirsty, and needed more energy and therefore ate more!
Q: Why do we always feel the need of water after having an ice cream?
Krishna : Any high calorie or complex food needs lots of water to digest. This occurs because our bodily fluids are used more to digest the food that is complex, thereby depleting fluid from the body. This is the main reason why you would feel thirsty after a heavy meal. Unlike what people think that the salt in the ice cream causes this thirst, recent studies have shown that you feel more hungry (1) than thirsty when you eat more salt. In a study carried out during a simulated mission to Mars, an international group of scientists has found exactly the opposite to what we actually thought all these years to be true. "Cosmonauts" who ate more salt retained more water, weren't as thirsty, and needed more energy and therefore ate more!
Q: Why despite the presence of science the shadow of the unknown looms large, dominating one's mind and soul?
Krishna: Your high expectations that a child should take care of you and your mental well being is the reason for your frustration!
People say science cannot solve all the problems and doesn't answer all the questions human minds pose. True! But think about this: This universe started with a Big Bang ( according to one theory - which is not yet proved!) some 14 Billion years ago. But science is just a few hundred years old.
Science is still in its infancy. It has to learn a lot, study a lot, think a lot, experiment a lot and then only it can come up with all the answers we are seeking right now. How can you expect a child to solve all the problems of his ancestors? And answer the questions posed by his great, great, great, great grand fathers? Is it appropriate to even expect such a thing? I don't think so. We should be amazed at how we have been able to get so far in understanding the things in this universe despite our inadequacies! Science is doing its best with the limited resources it has to both answer the questions and solve the problems. As the time goes by, I am pretty sure, it will succeed more and more. Please have patience! Give science some time.
And let me assure you when science answers these Qs, they will not be silly stories but humanity-shivering true facts.
Q:How will superstitions vanish out of our society?
Krishna: Only when people really gather courage, develop rationality and scientific outlook, will superstitions disappear from the world. Unless people come out of the holes they live in, how can they see light?
Q: How can non-scientists live without knowing things like things about themselves, the world around, the stars, the Sun and many other miracles of nature? Krishna: People lived long back when science didn’t even originate as we know it now.
Yes, but what sort of life did they live? Life filled with fear, misconceptions, baseless beliefs, weaving stories that have no resemblance to reality, living in an imaginary pseudo-world, falling prey to diseases and dying an agonizing death and at an younger age!
It is life alright but it is neither comfortable nor very good.
But is life very good now? That depends on the person who uses science.
If the person is smart s/he can make use of science correctly and lead an extremely good life. If s/he cannot, s/he can suffer like our ancestors did.
My mother studied till sixth class and didn’t know anything about science. She was very innocent, didn’t understand the world around like I did. She learnt things from her not well educated parents and followed them and what they taught her to live. She lived her life alright. She had many (about 12) medical conditions. She would have died at an younger age hadn’t I helped her with my knowledge - even the doctors told me this. Just because I took care of her, she lived a quality life despite her conditions.
But I know how she brought us up because of her lack of knowledge. We used to suffer a lot with contagious diseases when we were very young children. Chicken pox, whooping cough, jaundice, frequent fevers, cold, worms in our stomachs and what not. These were our constant companions for several years.
I don’t blame my parents at all for all our suffering. It is their lack of knowledge and their innocence that is the real culprit.
Then when I did my Ph.D. in science, everything in our world changed. I no longer suffer from any diseases, dodged cleverly all that my parents suffered because of their health conditions, live a very quality life and am very happy and content now.
Now decide for yourself how people of science live and people who don’t know anything about it live.
Q:Why do good people die soon?
Krishna : Is there any evidence for this ‘understanding’? Your ‘internal biological clock’ decides when you would die. Not your ‘goodness’ or ‘badness’! May be some good people die young because of the stress and strain they undergo in an indifferent world and their effect on this clock. Nothing more to it.
Q: Why do we use pasteurization to kill all the bacteria in milk and use the same milk to prepare dhahi (curd) by introducing bacteria again?
Krishna: There are good bacteria and there are are not so good ones. We kill the bad ones that are harmful for both us and those that spoil the milk when we pasteurize and removing the good ones becomes 'collateral damage' during the process.
Then we introduce mainly the probiotics or good bacteria when we prepare curd.
Q: When we crack our knuckles, where does the sound come from?
Krishna: A new mathematical explanation suggests that the sound results from the partial collapse of tiny gas bubbles in the joints’ fluid (2).
Most explanations of knuckle noise involve bubbles, which form under the low pressures induced by finger manipulations that separate the joint. While some studies pinpoint a bubble’s implosion as the sound’s source, a paper in 2015 showed that the bubbles don’t fully implode. Instead, they persist in the joints up to 20 minutes after cracking, suggesting it’s not the bubble’s collapse that creates noise, but its formation.
But it wasn’t clear how a bubble’s debut could make sounds that are audible across a room. So two engineers from Stanford University and École Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France, took another crack at solving the mystery.
The soundmay come from bubbles that collapse only partway, the two researchers report March 29 inScientific Reports. A mathematical simulation of a partial bubble collapse explained both the dominant frequency of the sound and its volume. That finding would also explain why bubbles have been observed sticking around in the fluid.
Q: Has man really landed on moon? If he did why are there hoax theories?
Krishna: I myself have seen a fascinating small black rock brought from the moon when I was very young. Scientists around the world who tested it told us then that Moon rock has spent its life bathed in hard radiation, and is quite unlike tektites, meteorites, or anything else found on Earth and therefore must definitely moon-originated.
And I trust the scientists and evidence shown by them.
Now People who don't have any thing solid and important to show to the world want to become famous anyway. So they 'create' stupid stories. And people who cannot think properly believe them.
Q: What is the importance of palm lines apart from foretelling the future?
Krishna: Palm lines cannot tell anything about your future. Palm reading is a pseudo-science. Period.
It is human nature to want to know what is going to happen in the future so we can prepare ourselves for it. The problem is that many people turn what they learn into a self-fulfilling prophecy. They do things that ultimately cause the things that have been predicted to actually come true. Or usually people are made to believe that all that palm readers or future tellers say is true. How? Like this...
The video shows just how easy it is to make people think that you are making a personality reading just for them when really it could apply to anyone. People hear what they want to hear and believe what they want to believe when it comes to all forms of divination, including palm reading.
And... now coming to your second question.
Scientifically speaking, the lines on a palm, or palmar flexion creases, help the hand's skin stretch and squeeze. Your hands are the most hardworking part of your body and they are capable of several actions, including holding, stretching, lifting, typing and writing. To be able to do these different tasks and change their shape constantly, the skin covering them should be able to adjust itself to the complex positions. That is where the lines on your palms come into play.
They can also help identify certain medical conditions. Palm creases develop in the womb at around the 12th week of gestation, and are present on a baby's hand when he or she is born.
When you clench your hand, palm lines provide an avenue for the hand's skin to fold without bunching up and making it difficult to grab onto items. That may also be why there are strong creases where the bones in the fingers and thumb meet.
Most people have three prominent creases across the surface of their palms, but sometimes there is only one crease.
Having only a single palmar crease (once known as a "simian crease") might indicate abnormal development. It's sometimes present in babies with conditions such as Down syndrome or fetal alcohol syndrome. A doctor, however, takes several other factors into account before making a diagnosis. The thickness and number of creases on your palms also depend on factors such as family history and race.
Q: Dr. Krishna, I am an astrologer. We all know Tides occur only in Seas as per phases of Moon which is 2,40,000 miles away from Earth and very small in size. No tides in Lakes, Ponds, Rivers, Wells, or any other water collections small or big. Why ? the reason is simple. Sea water has high concentration of Salt,i.e. Sodium Chloride and other waters have no salt. We also know Dr advises to restrict consumption of salt if you have high BP. Why, Salt adds to volume of Blood which consequently increases pressure on arteries resulting into high BP. Now a logical question and answer arises. If Moon can influence tides in Seas because Seas have salt in it. Then Moon can also influence a human being whose blood too has salt in it. In Astrology, Moon represents Mind. So, influence of Moon on human body also influences it’s mind.
Moreover, a full moon can effect a person's mind and make him or lunatic.
That is how moon, sun and their gravity and that of other celestial bodies can effect peoples' destiny. Why do you contradict that science?
Krishna: Oh, my! Pseudo-science at its best!
This argument is completely based on pseudo-science. Read the reasons why by clicking on the links given below …
That oceans have waves because of salt content in them - as explained by you is rubbish.
Tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and, to a lesser extent, the sun on bodies of water. The earth's water bulges/moves toward and away from the moon(/sun), while it becomes shallower in areas perpendicular to the pull. Thus, there are two complete tide cycles per day.
Tides occur mainly in oceans because that is basically one huge body of water that is free to move all over the earth. Lakes and rivers do not cover enough area to have their water be moved significantly by gravity, or in other words, to have tides. But if you observe carefully they too have tides - very small ones though.
Newton’s law of universal gravitation states that the gravitational attraction between two bodies is directly proportional to the product of their masses, and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the bodies Therefore, the greater the mass of the objects and the closer they are to each other, the greater the gravitational attraction between them .
Gravity is a major force responsible for creating tides. Inertia, acts to counterbalance gravity. It is the tendency of moving objects to continue moving in a straight line. Together, gravity and inertia are responsible for the creation of two major tidal bulges on the Earth.
The gravitational attraction between the Earth and the moon is strongest on the side of the Earth that happens to be facing the moon, simply because it is closer. This attraction causes the water on this “near side” of Earth to be pulled toward the moon. As gravitational force acts to draw the water closer to the moon, inertia attempts to keep the water in place. But the gravitational force exceeds it and the water is pulled toward the moon, causing a “bulge” of water on the near side toward the moon .
On the opposite side of the Earth, or the “far side,” the gravitational attraction of the moon is less because it is farther away. Here, inertia exceeds the gravitational force, and the water tries to keep going in a straight line, moving away from the Earth, also forming a bulge .
In this way the combination of gravity and inertia create two bulges of water. One forms where the Earth and moon are closest, and the other forms where they are furthest apart. Over the rest of the globe gravity and inertia are in relative balance. Because water is fluid, the two bulges stay aligned with the moon as the Earth rotates .
The Earth's two tidal bulges are aligned with the positions of the moon and the sun. Over time, the positions of these celestial bodies change relative to the Earth’s equator. The changes in their relative positions have a direct effect on daily tidal heights and tidal current intensity.
At a smaller scale, the magnitude of tides can be strongly influenced by the shape of the shoreline. When oceanic tidal bulges hit wide continental margins, the height of the tides can be magnified. Conversely, mid-oceanic islands not near continental margins typically experience very small tides of 1 meter or less .
The shape of bays and estuaries also can magnify the intensity of tides. Local wind and weather patterns also can affect tides.
Again moon’s gravity effects a human body because it has salt in its blood is nonsense. A human body is more effected by Earth’s gravity than moon’s.
And the gravitational effects of the moon are far too minuscule to generate any meaningful effects on brain activity, let alone behavior. Second, the moon’s gravitational force affects only open bodies of water, such as oceans and lakes, but not contained sources of water, such as the human brain. Third, the gravitational effect of the moon is just as potent during new moons—when the moon is invisible to us—as it is during full moons.
There is a more serious problem for fervent believers in the lunar lunacy effect: no evidence that it exists. Florida International University psychologist James Rotton, Colorado State University astronomer Roger Culver and University of Saskatchewan psychologist Ivan W. Kelly have searched far and wide for any consistent behavioral effects of the full moon. In all cases, they have come up empty-handed. By combining the results of multiple studies and treating them as though they were one huge study—a statistical procedure called meta-analysis—they have found that full moons are entirely unrelated to a host of events, including crimes, suicides, psychiatric problems and crisis center calls.
Moon or gravity cannot effect any body’s mind in a negative way.
So all that said here by astrologers like you is not science but pseudo-science and lot of baloney.
Q: Why are there no tides in rivers and lakes when oceans have them?
Krishna: Tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and, to a lesser extent, the sun on bodies of water.
Q: (Message sent to me by another astrologer after reading the above Q): For answering a question whether Astrology etc is science or not first of all we have to define science .The writer has not defined science .Millions of people are believing ,there are millions of predictions that have been true in due course ..First of all non believer should explain the reason for prediction being true.If they can not explain the happening of prediction their logics will have no meaning.Soanswer will not bear fruits.
Krishna: Even a school student can define science. There are thousands of articles given in books and on the net telling what makes genuine science what it is - scientific methodology. We don’t want to waste our time by repeating all that again. Okay, I am providing links for all the lazy people who cannot search it themselves and needs spoon-feeding.
This fact is not digestible for some people, because they think they no longer can cheat and exploit people if science education becomes universal right.
So the people who got threatened by science try to manipulate human psychology. Some bring pseudo-science in the name of science to explain things in the way that suit their ideology and religion. Some are rejecting science outright even without considering it. Some are trying to remove science completely from school curriculum and bring creationism and other religion based studies into class rooms.
And the gullible are believing them and are fighting science and scientists along with them. Right now scientists around the world are fighting a war with people belonging to different religions, ideologies, people who practice pseudo-science, activists and ignorance that cannot differentiate what is what.
