The Art of Saying Things Inspirationally

It really is an art to say things & make people think & act accordingly.

Science is not a matter of opinion; there is only one truth.

A man paints with his brains and not with his hands - Michelangelo

A great artist is always before his time or behind it - George Edward

The job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery - Francis Bacon

Land really is the best art - Andy Warhol

"Art is not what you see but what others make you see"
-French Artist, Edgar Degas

The best scientists themselves are usually artists -  Einstein

Normal is not something to aspire to, it's something to get away from - Jodie Foster

Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people - Eleanor Roosevelt

People have opinions about art, whereas science is a bit more concrete.

“All art should become science and all science art,” declared the German Romantic poet Friedrich Schlegel

Einstein once declared, "Creativity is the residue of time wasted."

When people asked Leonardo da Vinci the secret of his creative and inventing genius, he replied “Saper Vedere,” - to know how to see.

Saper vedere, Sapio audacter …sapere aude
To see is to know – dare to know …dare to be wise-think boldly!

Words have more influence when tied to an identity.

Ideas are not set in stone. When exposed to thoughtful people, they morph and adapt into their most potent form.

"An artist sells what he paints. A painter paints what he sells."- Pablo Picasso

John Cleese - “Creativity is not a talent. It is a way of operating.”

Creativity is combining and connecting things:

Successful scientists have often been people with wide interests. Their originality may have derived from their diverse knowledge … Originality often consists in linking up ideas whose connection was not previously suspected - Beveridge

Only when they have exhausted all the food , water and air ,  they will know they cannot eat money!

Oftentimes the right moment to learn the most is when you’ve done something stupid, not necessarily when you’ve triumphed.

An optimist would say the glass is half full, while a pessimist would say it is half empty. I have a third point of view. For me the glass is always full - half with water and half with air .

Art is a powerful tool to explore the human mind.

Art doesn't alter things. It points things out, but it doesn't alter them. It can't, no matter what a painter wants to - Arthur Boyd
An artist's only concern is to shoot for some kind of perfection, and on his own terms, not anyone else's - J.D. Salinger

To understand the importance of your uniqueness, realize that in the history of mankind until now, and ever hereafter, there can never be another you. So remain unique and be yourself.
A wisdom tradition isn't the same as a religion: it isn't faith or the grace of God that is needed to create the kind of happiness that no one can take away from you. For that is the ultimate goal, to be so established in your ore self that external events cannot take away your own inner peace and contentment.
One of the finest sayings I have heard, and whose origin has not been established, goes, "Life is not about surviving the storm, but of dancing in the rain" . In living each moment, we should experience sadness in sad times and happiness in happy times.

Healthy criticism provokes thought, encourages debate and helps us evolve. But criticism cannot be malicious and must not lead to creating ill-will between different people.

There is a bridge between time and Eternity; and this bridge is Atman, the Spirit of man. Neither day nor night crosses that bridge, nor old age, nor death nor sorrow.

Taittiriya Upanishad

All because of love, when it arrived

my temporal life from then on

changed to eternal

Jalaluddin Rumi

I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.

Mark Twain

Some people are so afraid do die that they never begin to live.

Henry Van Dyke

Let no one weep for me, or celebrate my funeral with mourning; for I still live, as I pass to and fro through the mouths of men.

Quintus Ennius

Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

"Nature always begins by resisting the artist, but he who really takes it seriously he will not be put off by that opposition.”
(Letter to Theo van Gogh, c.12 October 1881)

" What distinguishes a great artist from a weak one is first their sensibility and tenderness; second, their imagination, and third, their industry.” – John Ruskin

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity
Albert Einstein

One must be very daring to reach great heights, and at the same time, a lot of depth to stay grounded.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference

Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises- Demosthenes
He that climbs the tall tree has won the right to the fruit- Sir Walter Scott
Whatever women do they must do twice as well to be thought half as good. Luckily this is not difficult - Charlotte Whitton
Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared-Lord Buddha
That which is striking and beautiful is not always good, but that which is good is always beautiful - Ninon de L'Enclos

Adversity reveals genius, prosperity conceals it - Horace

Up to a point, a man's life is shaped by environment, heredity and movements and changes in the world about him. Then, there comes a time when it lies within his grasp to shape the clay of his life into the sort of thing he wishes to be. Only the weak blame parents, their race, their times, lack of good fortune, or the quirks of fate. Everyone has it within his power to say, " This I am today; that I will be tomorrow" - Louis L'Amour, author

Is suffering really necessary? Yes and no. If you had not suffered as you have, there would be no depth to you, no humility, no compassion.
-Eckhart Tolle

"Art is the heart's explosion on the world. Music. Dance. Poetry. Art on canvas, on walls, on our skins. There is probably no more powerful force for change in this uncertain and crisis-ridden world than young people and their art. It is the consciousness of the world breaking away from the strangle grip of an archaic social order." - Luis J. Rodriguez.

"If you hear a voice within you saying, 'You are not a painter,' then by all means paint ... and that voice will be silenced, but only by working."
-- Vincent van Gogh, in a letter to his brother Theo, 28 October 1883.

Collecting is like a disease—you can only stop when you die.
If you give importance only to visual treats, your carrier advances but your art recedes.

Impossible? There shouldn't be such words in anybody's dictionary if he or she wants to achieve something.

" ACCORDING TO AERODYNAMIC LAWS, THE BUMBLEBEE CANNOT FLY. ITS BODY WEIGHT IS NOT THE RIGHT PROPORTION TO ITS WINGSPAN. IGNORING THESE LAWS, THE BEE FLIES ANYWAY"

Let us move forward with this attitude. Let us defy the laws of nature with our inner strengths.

Yes, when you go about in this world with a smile on your lips, your face radiating with positive thoughts, your heart filled with kindness & your mind packed with power
you can see & feel change all around you.

‘’If I try to be like him, who will be like me?’’
( Yiddish Proverb )

What would life be if we had no courage.
- Vincent Van Gogh

The mistake is that we want to tie the whole world down to our own plane of thought and to make our mind the measure of the whole universe.
- Swami Vivekananda
