THE TRUE ARTIST

Not from some pedantic School of art,

Art is something straight from the heart.

Composition,perspective and tonal value,

Gives birth to artworks so very untrue.

An artist is one born,with God's very own blessing;

In creativity and colour,he'll be found always messing.

No nerd from the herd,painting something absurd;

With insanity he's toiling,someday he'll be heard.

Realism is something best left to the rules,

AN ODE TO PICASSO

A new dawn breaks with pablo's ire,

To awaken a canvas with strokes of fire.

A myriad hues from reds to blues,

Finds it hard for even the discerning eye to choose.

What was it that made him great?

Even though his lines weren't straight!

The rest of the pack he left far behind,

Proving to the world the 20th centurys' greatest find.

His journey of course he left incomplete,
