Sculptures beautifully carved with discarded nuts and bolts, worn-out magnets, thrown away railings and various iron and steel blanks by both students and established artists as part of beautification plans for the International Biological diversity meet can be seen now in various parks in Hyderabad. The meet starts at Hyderabad in the first week of October, 2012.Around 53 sculptures done by the sculptures of Andhra Pradesh are being displayed at the 15-odd parks in Hyderabad. Students from the JNAFAU, University of Hyderabad, Telugu University, Andhra University - these include some foreigners - are giving these sculptures a shape.
What is waste to one man is art for another! Works range from abstract themes to animal figures.
But I want to ask one question: Why isn't science represented in the art works? This is a science meet after all!
Can the organisers answer my question?
