Do you know art collectors and buyers buy art not only for the love of it or not as an investment but also for other reasons?

They even buy art (invisible in the present case!) just to benefit from the controversy it creates!

Here is an example:

Buyer of James Franco's $10,000 Invisible Artwork Revealed: Remember art provocateur James Franco's Museum of Non-Visible Art? The actor teamed up with the art duo Praxis to raise funds for a museum in which all artworks are invisible (as in, they exist only in the mind). One patron purchased the most expensive invisible work, "Conceptual — Fresh Air," for $10,000. Now, the Huffington Post has identified the buyer as young Montreal web producer, social media marketer, model, and actor Aimee Davison. In an interview with the site, Davison is admirably straightforward about her motivation to invest in the piece: "I wanted to participate in the controversy and possibly benefit from it," she said. Mission accomplished!

So artists try to create as much controversy as possible about your art and get a guarantee that  it sells!

Oh, what an enlightenment!
