I think a book on names, addresses and e-mails for known art collectors would be invaluable. What type of collector - modern, impression, sculptures, etc. should be given. If we could get our hands on auction list, probably contact local art clubs, social people in the know for ideas on how to obtain. It should be interesting and I would like to help if I can. I am a transcriptionist, if that might help. I guess if we obtained lists, we would still retype and classify anyway, so that I would have to be placed in our computer to begin with. Lila

Thanks Lila for the suggestion. I have already done some work on Indian Art collectors. There is one network called
indianartcollectors.ning.com. I contacted several art collectors from this network. Some of the art gallery owners, art consultants & curators have also helped me in collecting the data (but most of them refused to give me contact details of the art collectors- they didn't want to lose their customers to other art dealers). I want to extend this work & cover art collectors in other parts of the world. Any help from the members of Art Lab & my friends in the art field is welcome.
