Girls, don't sulk, men will learn their lessons!

I have heard several times girls complaining that men/boys laugh and ridicule at all the things they do! I want to tell all these girls a real and interesting story.

When we were doing our Ph.Ds., I and some of my colleagues went to a science conference in another city. One of my female colleagues (FC) brought a sewing needle and a reel of thread with her. One of our male colleagues who saw it in her bag, laughed at her. "You women never change. No matter what heights you reach!", was his sarcastic comment. My FC sulked. But an hour later, my male colleague who ridiculed my FC came back to us meekly and said, "Sorry for that, J. I am extremely sorry". It was a shock to us. Then he slowly came to the point. "Can I borrow your needle and thread, please?!" "What?!", my FC and I were surprised. " Yes", he said, "I tore my pants while picking up the pen I dropped on the floor!" We laughed and laughed. My female colleague made him say, "I will never ridicule a woman/ girl again for what she does" twenty times and gave him the needle and the thread!

Whenever girls complain about men, this incident flashes back to the forefront of my brain and makes me smile all over again.

 Women know what they are doing and why they are doing it. Aren't we more smarter than men?
Don't take these things seriously, girls. Just laugh them away. Men will learn their lessons!
