"Interesting. Deserves some real pondering. I was asked one time if thinking was a basic skill that could be taught. Truth is I never could answer that to my satisfaction. Can creativity be taught? Not sure creativity seems to come from nowhere. What…"
"Paz, I'm most familiar with mathematicians. The great progress of mathematics has depended to a great extent on the posing of questions, theorizing the answers and then proving the solutions. Once a worthy challenge is out there, sometimes many…"
"Paz I think about your direct answers sometimes. For me I work best in quiet solitude also but I think many art forms, especially literature and science I would think, thrive on discussions with colleagues. What comes to mind is the famous literary…"
"I am not so sure you can attribute lack of uniqueness to collaboration in cyberspace. There are many more factors involved including the aforementioned thriving of ideas and monetary survival. Ida Outgwaite was an Austrailian children's book…"
"Interesting. I am still doing fractal art but it has evolved. I have used it as action to explore art and graphing software. I did not want my pieces to look like just another fractal a machine created so I have learned to manipulate them."
"I really welcome your friendship.
My personal welcome to this wonderful site. This is a great place to network and make friends.
I would be honoured if you would kindly join my Ning Network 'Friends of Asia' too.
"Not saying it is not more or less complex. What is complex to one, is not to another it depends entirely on intellect and/or talent as the case may be. I feel it does little good to argue the differences in art and science or even…"
"I think the gap between what an artist dreams of and wants to produce and actually produces is a major compromise and one that some nearly go insane trying to bridge. To some it does not matter to accept less than their ideal which the actual…"
"The art I posted is made of fractals. Fractals are sets of numbers that when graphed show a repeating pattern. This is several fractals, they have been manipulated and composed into a piece of abstract art. Odd, isn't it that…"
"It is unfortunate that we seek to divide people as such. I am a mathematician/artist. I have been tested and think dominately from the right side of the brain but perhaps more center brain than most. While you look at emotion as a right brain…"
Like your work. I too don't use ref. pics. I will imagine everything in my mind and paint. It is a difficult process as you don't see finer details when you imagine a picture but again I use my brain to paint finer details. That is what I call real creativity. Well done!
