Q: 'Experience is responsible for wisdom', 'We get most of our wisdom from experience', your take on this?

Krishna:

Mostly from experience?!   I beg to differ.
Even animals have experiences. Babies and toddlers have experiences.     Politicians have experiences. Everybody has experiences. Do they learn anything meaningful from them?
Then why are so many people considered not wise?
Did you know only 2% of people are very intelligent in this world? Most come under the heading 'average' and some 'stupid'. Why is this?
Why do people believe most of the things they come across on social media?
Did you know that most people who are falling prey to the scams on the net are 'old people', who are supposed to be experienced and therefore wise!
Wisdom is not mostly based on experience. While experience plays a crucial role in gaining wisdom, it cannot give you wisdom. Wisdom is  influenced by factors like the ability to learn from mistakes, from those of others, reflect on experiences, and apply knowledge to real-life situations.
Above all, critical thinking using the highest form of knowledge gives you the best form of wisdom.
Both knowledge and critical thinking are essential components of wisdom. Wisdom involves not only the acquisition of the best information (knowledge) but also the ability to analyze, evaluate, and apply that information correctly and effectively, which is the core of critical thinking.
If you experience hallucinations and think ghosts are present in your vicinity, because of the stories you heard in your childhood, does that come under wisdom?
During my interactions with people, most of them asked me, 'what will you do if you see  ghosts?'
My instant answer was: 'I will ask myself why am I hallucinating like this?  Something is wrong with me, I must see a doctor immediately.'
Schizophrenics experience hallucinations and think that is real.
"This is my enemy. Kill him" When your brain circuits go heywire, you lose the ability to differentiate between hallucinations and reality. You kill the person. That is schizophrenia.
If you think the person outside of your country's borders is your enemy, because your mind is conditioned like that, you   are an average person.
If you think there are only bad behaviours, not bad people, and everybody in this universe is your image in the mirror, you are wise.
What you analyse your experience with is more crucial in gaining wisdom, not just experiencing something
