Thanks for posting this list, Prince. I feel all that you get for exposing your work on the internet is name & fame.
Forget about selling. I observed in recent times that people who buy prefer their own country men (artists) on famous international sites that sell art works ( on a site I found that some people are buying the pictures of Hindu Gods done by Westerners although similar works done by Indians are available!). Moreover, buyers are choosing only low cost ones & are not buying works that are high in cost. Prints of works sell more than originals because they are cheap. Indian sites that sell art don't take the works of new & upcoming artists. They see your CV, experience, number of shows you did & name to select your works. If you want to sell works that are costly, you will have to be very famous.
Having said that I also want to add that I sold some of my works through my own website.
Mostly people who know me personally buy my work - not people that are unknown to me & are from a foreign land. However, I get several messages daily appreciating my work from people from all over the world. That gives me tremendous encouragement. Anyway I am not bothered about selling my work. I do my work to satisfy my heart, mind & soul.

Very true Dr.Krishna! Interacting with international sites exposes you to the world at large,but unlikely to corner any sales.Buyers are no doubt geographically inclined.In India each states patrons,patronise the local artists.Likewise all over the globe.The recent fake,hyped up boom had patrons tumble,rollover and fall to grab any
artwork they thought would fetch them a profit in the days ahead,irrespective of who,what or where the artist came from.Unfortunately this turned out to be one helluva mirage and opportunistic scam,with people like Neville Tuli and Osians included.
The Indian sites like you rightly point out, are birds of the normal gallery feather.They want to steal the cream,
after you have finished boiling the milk.From my experience,westerners don't buy Indian artists.M.F.Husain
and the rest of the clan included.From my findings I discovered,that they had some regard for F.N.Souza whom they
called the Indian Picasso,as he tended to paint the same style.This calling MF the Indian Picasso is a charade to
create hype.The west doesn't consider him that,so just take it with a pinch of salt.
Of course I like MF's work as I feel he has great spontaniety on canvas and I appreciate that aspect greatly.
If you want to sell prints easily then the best websites to get onto are:www.fineartamerica.com,www.deviantart.com,www.etsy.com,www.zazzle.com, and www.artybuzz.com
Nice to know that you sold works via your website! I too sell lot's of works to buyers all over ,including overseas.
Yes one doe's tend to get lovely messages from people all over the world,but it's all pep talk.People don't like to hurt one so they say pretty things.The next time they say something nice about a painting,ask them to buy it
and watch them vanish into thin air.

In art I learnt a few wise things,paint what you want to paint,however to the public quaint.Never become a Xeroxwalla who's looking for a quick buck,so you churn out painting after painting where perhaps the only
authentic part of your art is the signature.Three women and a goat doesn't qualify as great art.This is the work of the smart.Listen to your heartbeat,not the media artbeat.Don't bother whether you sell.If you can salute the good choice or taste of someone buying your art, sell! Otherwise let them go to HELL.....Kind regards,
