I wrote a blog entry on my research art exhibition experiment

I wrote a blog entry on my long running show called "Art Against War" , which was an exhibition of posters and multimedia about the War in Iraq. Many artists, professionals, students and even non-artists heard about it and sent entries for the show. It was published on various websites . Galleries and art exhibitions offered to host the antiwar(and pro-peace) show.
The organizers of Social Forum lV, a huge conclave of social activists from around the world that met in Mumbai in 2004. The pieces of the show were printed on huge banners in the Majlis Cultural Center and also posted around the city. The show was shown in nine galleries and on 4 websites over the life of the show

When was this show organised?
< The show was initiated in 2002 and the first exhibition was held in June 2003. The last exhibition was in 2005 in a gallery in Florida US called the Comma Gallery. Some parts of the show are still on the web and can be searched under my name or "Art Against War". The exhibition then stayed up on the web and when a space gallery or museum was interested, works would be sent out in tubes. The most interesting aspect of the Mumbai show was that the posters were returned to me and the organizeres asked for file transfers that would be printed on huge industrial printers in Mumbai /b>
Above I add the initial poster for the exhibition and one of my own entries, which I think was an amusing "Christmas"card poster to end the war

"Art Against War" Shows started in 2003( see poster below) and lasted till December 2005. the last "brick and mortar" exhibition was at the Comma Gallery in Florida USA. It is still on the web, search in google for my name or "Art Against war". I would send the posters out in tubes and they were returned to me. The websites acted as a catalog as well as prospectus. I am trying to do the same thing on www.cultureinside.com, where I and my partners Gila Paris and her husband Dom, are creating a separate section that is called cultureoutside. I would direct galleries museums and spaces to the show on the web and mention that the works were available for shipping.
In Mumbai the pieces were returned to me as the organizers decided to print on huge industrial printers that are often used for movie posters in India. The posters were places in Majliss cultural center and in the streets of Mumbai
These are paintings. " Peace" & "War is ancient"
