I mount, organize and curate shows. My whole belief is that artists have the power and that the so called art world is a vampire on artists energy. I have curated as many shows as I have had solo shows. Deep recognition has taken a long time .Perhaps with my association with these European networks, all artists by the way will help get me known somehow. My professor at Columbia is going to write about me now, a chapter in a book. he is a world authority. He is an artist also by the way. I also am very serious about producing strong work. Look at my images. Living in New York I have seen success come in many ways. Deserving and undeserving
Hallo
I am a member of some art networks, I think any one who want to stand out should not lose the hope and work harder and harder and keep contact to the other fellows.
The best recognition which artist seek to is the acceptance from people in his surrounding
Art is mainly a quest for one's own truth. It has nothing to do with vanity or self glorification
Thanks for the question my dear....
Now i have to scratch my head to find the answer....
After leaving the temporal world innerly I think I will not be able to answer this question as for me there is no more "I"
Sure we still need to pay bills and buy food , but ... did I ever try to stand out??
I do not think so ...
But I can answer you " why you are standing out?"
Cuz of your kindness
Cuz of your simpleness
That made me wanted to see the way you express in your art work
Sending you Love and Peace my dearest kind soul

I believe in getting involved by putting oneself forward. In my career I have become a curator, organizer of art shows as well as mount numerous art shows of my own work, solo or group. Artists need exhibitions the way that theater needs performances. The difficulty of curating and mounting an exhibition are such that those that have galleries or spaces have more power. I believe it is also important to have ideas, to study ideas, and to research syles, materials,, meaning in ones work. Being a follower is usually not the best way to find attention. I also believe it imporant to gather groups of like minded artists who can support ones work. In postwar America, artists banded together and formed co-operative galleries to show and support each others work. The co-operative movement seems kind of dead in the Uniteed States and I have not seen similar spaces in other parts of the world. But it an important way of being seen. A solo show of ones work is so important, why wait for someone else to make it happen? Many of the graffitti artists started working in the street. My professor Dr. Sullivan does work, installations, posters and other works and leaves it in the street. Special events , press releases, posters, are just a few of the ways
Stand out? I am unsure if I really want to. I just want my pieces to find the people who are attracted to them, and who will appreciate them. Stand out for my work? Maybe. I would rather stand out in people's memories as being an honest, giving, caring person who tried to brighten others days.
