Art Advisors: People who advice ( sometimes "influence" ) collectors. Read about them here:
http://www.artinfo.com/news/story/38233/the-ascent-of-the-art-advis...
( But I feel if a collector buys for investing, it is okay to consult an "Expert". Otherwise if he or she wants to buy a work of art on the "advise" of a person who is prejudiced, the collector is making a mistake. The work will not be his or her love but somebody else's! Your space should be yours - it should be filled with your tastes - not somebody elses'! Some advisers - I know two personally - try to impose their will on others. They also try to manipulate the market to promote their friends - sometimes for monetary benefits. So my "ADVICE" is : consult advisors only if you want to invest in art. Otherwise go for the art works your heart and mind goes gaga over! - Krishna)
