People have opinions about art, whereas science is a bit more concrete.

Words have more influence when tied to an identity.

Ideas are not set in stone. When exposed to thoughtful people, they morph and adapt into their most potent form.

Oftentimes the right moment to learn the most is when you’ve done something stupid, not necessarily when you’ve triumphed.

An optimist would say the glass is half full, while a pessimist would say it is half empty. I have a third point of view. For me the glass is always full - half with water and half with air .

Leave people you feel miserable around. If you feel like you are in company of people who just make you feel bad about yourself, and your efforts to improve the situation have been in vain, then just break it off. No need to carry the extra burden just out of the fear of loneliness. Remember, you'll be more miserable down the line if you remain stuck with people you don't like.

They did.

While waiting, he spent the time hanging out with them, practicing fighting, relaxing, and promising them that when his friends returned with the money and they released him, he would raise a fleet, come back and kill them all.

He did.
