I have spent much of my working life as a theatre practitioner, writer, and artist. Like many artists before me, teaching and research have played an important part in my work, for it is through teaching that one keeps in touch with new ideas and experiences that are so important for the research that is vital for the evolution of the creative process.
For many years I wanted to work in Europe, for I have a deep philosophical conviction that European cooperation and integration are not only desirable, but an absolute necessity if the smaller countries that make up the rich and varied tapestry that is at the heart of the civilisation of our continent are to be able to keep their individual identities intact. In 1994, I chose to relocate to France, a founder member of the European Union, and one of the main crossroads for the transmission of art, culture, and new ideas that fertilise exchanges between the Northern countries and those of the Mediterranean basin.
I have recently set up the AASNouTec project, dedicated to new forms of contemporary creation built around Art, Science, and New Technologies and open to a wider general public, who will have an opportunity to participate in these disciplines, instead of being excluded from them, as is often - far too often - the case. Further information about this can be seen on the AASNouTec page of my website to which you will find the link above.
