Heard people say, "By the grace of God I got my life back"

After recovering from a covid attack

Saw people thanking medical doctors

For saving their lives from life threatening factors

But have you ever thought about the unsung 

Heroes of life that  swung

 Into action as soon as the crisis arose

Who since then never took repose?

Who burned the midnight oil

To fight and foil

The enemy the world is scared about 

That brought death, suffering and depression bout?

Who told doctors what this disease actually is

Who broke the ignorance fizz

Who developed the vaccine

And thwarted  symptoms unforeseen ?

Who told the health care workers 

About the procedures

And what  health conditions to suspect

What  dangers to expect 

What medicines work

How fast  they can shirk 

The ever growing threat

And stopping the eyes from getting wet

Who told people

How to grapple 

The unseen peril 

How to defeat the evil

The microbiologists, virologists

The drug developers

The clinical researchers

The communication scientists

It is the science and scientists 

That endued the solutions 

To the life threatening problems

People who really  saved your lives

Have you ever thanked

Individuals who certainly stopped

Your  journey to the Heavens?

Expressed your gratitude to the unseen warriors?

Without scientists telling the doctors what to do, the latter wouldn't have  been able to succeed at all in saving your lives. The scientists are the commanders, the doctors and other health care workers are the foot soldiers.
