Q: 'Have you ever felt that you are stupid?'
Krishna: Nobody ever asked me this Q till now. This is because people think I am the opposite of stupidity.
But let me be honest while answering this question.
We don't have even 1% of the knowledge the universe possesses. It is impossible for any human being with the present state of the human brain to get all the knowledge in the world. We are only trying to acquire and possess as much as possible. That's it.
Do you know I am in the company of very highly intelligent people now? Some of them are the best brains in the world in their fields.
They set my standards very high.
Whenever I see their minds working with regard to their fields I feel 'inadequate'.
I must accept this. But no person can be an expert in all the fields in the world. I see this as an opportunity to learn more things when I am in their company. And I really use the time I spend with them to learn as many things as possible.
And these people might be experts in their fields, but they are 'just ordinary people' with regard to other fields.
That realization gives me some sort of
comfort because a person who is considered a genius is genius only in
one area.
However, there are people who have the capability to cross the boundaries and enter several other fields too.
Like Leonardo da Vinci who was both a scientist and artist. Yes, he was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, inventor, and more. People who can do this are considered real geniuses.
People tell me I can do more than him because I could cross not only the boundaries of science, art and designing like him, but also literature, networks creating and running and have proficiency in several other fields.
What is more interesting is I try to learn everything about the new fields I come across daily.
When I published a research paper in art without any training in the field several artists were surprised because even they couldn't do this.
Getting expertise in several fields is considered as a mark of higher intelligence. I prefer the word intellectual, than intelligent, though.
But, yes, even when people say this, in my heart I know I still have to cross several boundaries and learn a lot.
That thought keeps me grounded.
Inadequacy of knowledge becomes a flaw while processing something in the brain which can jeopardise the correct procedure. That leads to failure of intelligence. Because you lack the full information needed to analyse things and arrive at the right conclusion, you can never reach the highest realm of human thinking.
What is worse is people don't even know this and even if they do, they don't care!
I am aware of this and therefore, whenever I will have to think about something, I try to acquire all the information about it.That erases the wrong paths the thinking can take.
As I take all the precautions and use critical thinking, inadequacy doesn't play any part in my processing. With that safeguard in place, you don't feel stupid but I think I am very confident about my thinking process and myself.
I don' t call myself stupid but sometimes I feel I am inadequately positioned.
And I promised myself and the Universe I will erase that feeling as much as possible before I exit from this world.
As far as human mind processes are concerned, I will have to be in the top bracket. Period!
