Q: Does perfection exist in science?

Krishna: While answering this Q, we usually think along these lines:

No, perfection does not exist in science. Science relies on continuous testing, observation, and revision. Because our tools and measurements always have limits, scientific ideas change and improve over time instead of reaching a final, perfect state. While scientific models are remarkably successful at predicting how nature behaves, our understanding remains incomplete, constantly evolving, and full of unresolved gaps. 

Why Science is Not Perfect
No absolute truths: Science deals with probabilities and models that fit current data. Future data can always refine or replace old ideas. 
Incomplete puzzles: Major components like dark matter and dark energy are still mysterious placeholders in our equations.
Unmatched theories: Our two best rules of reality—general relativity (for huge things like galaxies) and quantum mechanics (for tiny things like atoms)—do not fully agree with each other yet.
Measurement limits: Every instrument has a margin of error. You can never measure anything with infinite precision. 
Idealized concepts: Ideas like a "perfect vacuum," a "frictionless plane," or a "perfect gas" only exist as math models, not in the real physical world. 
Human limits: Science is a growing process made by humans, meaning it changes and improves as we get better tools and new data. 
Where Perfection Appears in a vague way
Mathematics vs. Reality: Pure math can describe a perfect circle, but physical objects made of atoms can never match that exact shape.
The Self-Correcting Nature: Science does not need to be perfect because it fixes its own mistakes as we learn more. 
The science of the universe does not appear to be perfect. While scientific models are remarkably successful at predicting how nature behaves, our understanding remains incomplete, constantly evolving, and full of unresolved gaps. 
The Strength of Science
Self-correcting: When a theory fails a test, science updates itself to get closer to the truth.
High accuracy: Many physical laws are tested to extreme precision, even if they are not the absolute final answer.

The universe is not running in a "perfect" or orderly way.
Scientific laws show that it moves toward chaos and disorder over time. 
Entropy and Disorder
The second law of thermodynamics is a core rule of physics. It states that entropy, or disorder, always increases in a closed system like the universe. 
Energy Loss: Usable energy constantly turns into heat that spreads out and cannot be used again.
Structural Decay: Stars burn through their fuel, planets break down, and galaxies drift apart.
No Reversibility: Natural processes only move in one direction, from order to chaos. 
Chaos and Imperfection
Other scientific principles show that nature is wild, random, and unpolished.
Quantum Randomness: At the smallest level, particles move in ways we cannot predict with total certainty.
Violent Events: Black holes, exploding stars, and crashing asteroids shape space in a destructive way.
Wasted Space: Most of the universe is empty, cold, and deadly to life, not fine-tuned for comfort.

Now how about thinking from another angle?

We usually think about science or deal with only one definition:

Science is a systematic process of learning about the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and evidence. It is both a reliable body of knowledge and the ongoing method used to discover how the universe works.

Science is something that may be studied or learned like systematized knowledge

Knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method. Such knowledge or such a system of knowledge concerned with the physical world and its phenomena. Or a department of systemized knowledge as an object of study.

That is why we think science is not perfect because of 'human mind limitations' and not understanding it properly because of this.

But there is another aspect to it. This universe came into existence and is running on scientific principles. 

It is working wonderfully in a perfect way. Otherwise it would have collapsed and ceased to exist in the first place. Although chaos exists, that too is based on certain scientific principles.

When several factors decide outcomes, they follow the interplay of scientific rules and routes and exactly fit into the reaction realities. The working of these scientific principles is perfect.

The very fact that the universe is running in a specific way using some of these scientific principles gives us a different picture. Just because you cannot comprehend it perfectly doesn't mean it is not perfect.

Now the answer to your question depends on which angle you decide to consider it.
