Q: In a world driven by data, experiments, and predictions, has science made us more curious about life or more confident that we already know the answers?
Krishna:
The big Q; Image source: Google
Do we already know all the answers? NO!
Although Science has significantly advanced our understanding of the natural world, it has limitations in addressing certain questions that lie beyond empirical validation. While science provides answers to many critical inquiries, such as predicting natural disasters or explaining environmental phenomena, it cannot definitively address questions related to existential inquiries. This is because science has still to grow and is affected by human mind inadequacies.
So, while science has given us confidence in many answers, it is essential to recognize its boundaries and the necessity of exploring deep evidence-based understanding for profound questions.
Has science made us more curious about life? YES!
Some examples:
The quest for understanding life and its mysteries continues to drive scientific inquiry. Here are some intriguing questions that scientists are still exploring:
How did life begin: The transition from simple molecules to living cells remains one of the greatest unanswered scientific questions. Researchers have recreated certain steps in the lab, but a complete, verified process remains elusive.
What makes us human: Humans share most of their DNA with other animals, and the human genome is nearly identical to that of chimpanzees. However, the exact differences that make us human are still being studied.
What is consciousness: Consciousness is a complex phenomenon that involves the ability to perceive, think, and feel. While we have many theories and some basic understanding, the exact nature of consciousness still remains a mystery.
Why do we dream: Dreams are a mysterious phenomenon that can occur during sleep and are often associated with creativity and problem-solving. The exact purpose of dreaming is still under investigation.
These questions are just a few examples of the many unanswered mysteries in life that science continues to explore. As researchers delve deeper into these areas, they may gain new insights that could change our understanding of existence.
But we might answer some of these questions in the near future. We are confident about it!
When I used ‘might’, I also used the word ‘confident’ - which means I am confident about the possibility if we really try our best!

Q: Should we believe only what is scientifically proven?
Krishna: When you are using the word science, belief has no place in this arena.
In science, "proven" means a hypothesis has been tested repeatedly with consistent, reproducible results, leading to overwhelming consensus among experts, but it's not absolute truth, just the best current explanation, always open to revision with new evidence. It signifies strong validation, often moving a concept from hypothesis to a well-supported theory, but scientists avoid claiming 100% proof, acknowledging ongoing testing.
So, you can trust science when genuine evidence is shown. But still you can question it ‘using only scientific methods and means’ and in a scientific way.
Do all the other ones follow this method? Agree to get questioned? Grant testing over and over again in all conditions? Consent to get falsified? Show and acknowledge evidence? Stick to the best methods and methodologies that can overcome human mind inadequacies? Accept a progressive path?
If you find a better one, you can always go along with it.
But I think science is the best one at present to seek facts in the right way. I don’t trust the other ones as much as I trust the scientific methods.
But then there are several questions that still ‘remain in the pursuit of finding out’. Because of human mind inadequacies, we cannot find the answers to them ‘very soon’. They can take a hell of time.
But that doesn’t allow you to bring in untested and unverified things and stories to fill the gaps. That is not the right way to answer the questions.
So trust the scientific method produced answers and wait patiently for the others to get answered accurately.
Because Science is doing its best to arrive at the right conclusions.
