If somebody is living under a rock, can sci-com penetrate it to reach the person?

Q: Can someone deny the existence of science?

Sure, if that somebody is living under a rock!

The person thinks he came into existence through some magic! That this universe was created instantly as it is by a supernatural.

Denying the existence of science means rejecting the validity of the scientific method and the body of knowledge accumulated through rigorous experimentation and observation, essentially claiming that scientific discoveries and established facts are not reliable or true, often in favor of alternative, non-scientific explanations.

Rejecting science means

  • Rejection of evidence: This involves dismissing well-established scientific findings, even when presented with substantial evidence to support them.
  • Anti-intellectualism: Denying science can be seen as a form of anti-intellectualism, where critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning are disregarded.
  • Ideological bias: Sometimes, people may reject scientific consensus because it clashes with their personal beliefs or ideological positions.

Even now denialists deal with crazy ideas like these ….

Climate change denial: Rejecting the scientific consensus that human activity is causing climate change.

Vaccine hesitancy: Denying the effectiveness and safety of vaccines despite extensive research. Evolution denial: Refusing to accept the scientific theory of evolution by natural selection.

But we know changing deeply held beliefs can take time and may require a multi-pronged approach.

That is why we are here to communicate science and hammer things into impenetrable rocks and minds.
