Science versus Supernatural

“Science doesn’t understand energy?”

Then what are these? Energy-based science and tech projects encompass a wide range of initiatives focused on renewable energy, energy storage, efficiency, and smart grids, including solar energy, biogas, and electric vehicles.

In science, energy is understood as the ability to do work or cause change, and it can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed from one form to another.

By understanding energy, science is able to make things work in the real world! How is your car working? How are planes flying? How are machines working?

“Science doesn’t understand the supernatural world?”

You ‘imagine’ something to suit your irrational perception and then ask science to prove or disprove it !

If it exists in the real world , yes science will and can understand it. If it exists only in your imagination, science doesn’t deal with it. Period!

“Is that why scientists don't believe in magic, manifestation or evil eye? “

The manifestation of the "evil eye," a belief that a malicious gaze can cause misfortune, can manifest as unexpected bad luck, physical ailments, mental distress, financial setbacks, or strained relationships.

In the movies and TV stories here, these “evil eye” or “Buri nazar” are shown regularly. While practicing remedies, the actors in them and people in the outside world say all the evil eyes of your neighbours, friends, relatives, colleagues and acquaintances should be destroyed!

“Love thy neighbour”, “love all” - where has all this preaching gone? You see all the people around you with suspicious eyes! You imagine that they envy you and see your success with evil eyes! And you practice remedies! When we ( rationalists and scientists) tried to drill some sense into these people, they said “It is our non-negotiable belief and you have no right to say anything on this. It hurts our sentiments”.

What type of logic is this?

We cherish the success and celebrations of our friends and relatives as ours. Our eyes are not evil! If somebody says they are , it insults and hurts our feelings too. Don’t you understand that?

Each and every magical event has science behind it. Only if you don't try to understand the mystery behind it , it remains a magic. While intuitive minds think it is magic, scientific minds think it is based on science.

“Why flatly refuse to study it? Why this denial?”

Several of these things have been studied and debunked too. Some have been explained in detail using science.

However, scientists have several important things to do. There are more pressing problems like saving lives, more food production for the ever increasing population. We can’t waste our time on less important ones. But we get ridiculed for our choices of problems!

You imagine something. Or you hallucinate about it. And call it supernatural. And say science cannot explain it.

Science deals with natural things. If you imagine supernatural things , weave stories to make people believe them and ask science to prove your imagination right, that is absurd. These concepts are your babies. You created them. You will have to prove them. You cannot ask science, scientists or others to bring up your baby!

Right. How can science explain things that just lie in the realm of only your imagination and not in the real scientific world? Call it with whatever name you want, but introducing an additional, unnecessary entity, the supernatural thing, to fill the gaps of your understanding, is escaping into an unrealistic world. It’s never justified to call a phenomenon supernatural in a scientific context. Whoever does that has already left scientific ground because science deals only with the natural world. There are countless phenomena that cannot be explained by science at the moment, e.g. dark energy or dark matter or the origins of the Big Bang. But that does not mean that those must be of supernatural nature. They are natural phenomena waiting to be understood when we get the capacity to do so.

Just because we can't explain it now, doesn't mean magic or supernatural become better alternatives.

There is no flat refusal or denying.

We are only prioritizing our choices. We have better things to do than entertain your irrational beliefs and imaginations. Scientists know what is what and what is naught.
