It might just be a belief, not science.
How can your body hair grow when you rub your thumb with fingers or palms? What is the connection?
But I heard about something called ‘Balayam’.
According to some, Balayam yoga works on the principles of reflexology that your hair follicles are connected to the nerve endings in your nail beds. So when you stimulate these nerve endings, it improves the blood circulation to your scalp, enhancing hair growth (3).
But, all this is making us enter the pseudo-scientific arena. Because :
There is no convincing scientific evidence that reflexology is effective for any medical condition(2).
Reiki is a form of complementary therapy relating to energy healing. Reiki is a pseudoscience, and is used as an illustrative example of pseudoscience in scholarly texts and academic journal articles.(1)
This is not science but pseudo-science. If you believe in it, well , it is your headache.
But this doesn’t come under the heading “science” and there is no genuine scientific explanation for it. Period!
