Read these government guidelines …. it says 28 days after taking the vaccine, you can donate because by then you will have enough antibodies

Even red cross says it is accepting plasma from vaccinated people.
But there is an exception: “if an individual received a non-FDA approved COVID-19 vaccine as part of a clinical trial [and] the vaccine was a live attenuated COVID-19 vaccine [meaning it contains a weakened live virus [ here , here ] or the individual does not know what kind of vaccine it was, they must wait two weeks. *1
And all blood donors must feel healthy when they donate, so people who are experiencing the side effects from the vaccine will have to wait until their symptoms get better to donate.
However, FDA says the reasoning behind their guidance is to “ensure that COVID-19 convalescent plasma collected from donors contains antibodies directly related to their immune responses to SARS-CoV2 infection” rather than antibodies formed following vaccination. An FDA spokesperson told Reuters via email that there is yet no data on whether the plasma of vaccinated patients might be effective for the treatment of hospitalized COVID-19 patients.*1
*1Fact Check-Red Cross is accepting plasma from people vaccinated aga...
I also want to add in the end that recent studies show no substantial benefits for plasma therapy.
1.Indian Study Shows No Survival Benefit of Plasma in COVID-19
A randomized controlled trial on the use of convalescent plasma therapy to treat coronavirus infections—the first in the world to be completed—yields disappointing results, but some doctors are not discouraged.
A. Agarwal et al., “Convalescent plasma in the management of moderate COVID-19 in India: An open-label parallel-arm phase II multicentre randomized controlled trial (PLACID Trial),” medRxiv, doi:10.1101/2020.09.03.20187252, 2020.
2. Some doctors are asking the ICMR to discontinue use of plasma therapy as the therapy might produce mutants in the immuno-compromised people. As indications have arisen of the possibility that its use in some cases could foster the emergence of more virulent strains of Sars-CoV-2. Even if this danger is in the realm of conjecture, or turns out to bear a very low likelihood, it should suffice to stop plasma infusions.
Even if you have already had COVID-19, you should still have the COVID-19 vaccine to help protect against getting COVID-19 again or passing it onto someone else. You should talk with your doctor about how long you should wait after recovery before getting a COVID-19 vaccination.
If you are currently COVID-positive, you should not get the vaccine until you are fully recovered, even if the infection was mild or asymptomatic.
There usually will be an interval between the two doses of most vaccines. During the interim period, if the vaccinated person catches covid , he or she should wait for a while, usually 4- 6 weeks after all the symptoms of the covid has been resolved, before taking the second dose. You should consult your doctor and reschedule your second dose. Timing of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine would depend on a person’s antibody levels.
Usually, people will have the level of 10-15 immediately after getting COVID-19. It is not advisable to go for vaccination when the levels are so high. People who have had active symptoms of COVID-19, those who have been given convalescent plasma therapy for COVID-19 treatment or anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies, should defer vaccination by 4-8 weeks.
If you haven’t taken any vaccine doses at all, wait for 1–3 months after covid symptoms have been resolved before taking the vaccine.
Q: Is it true that if we strictly lock down the entire country and everyone follows guidelines for just 20 days, the corona virus will be gone?
Eradicating this virus right now from the world is a lot like trying to plan the construction of a stepping-stone pathway to the Moon. It’s unrealistic. Many scientists expect the virus that causes COVID-19 to become endemic, but it could pose less danger over time. A combination of annual vaccines and acquired immunity means that societies tolerate the seasonal deaths and illnesses they bring without requiring lockdowns, masks and social distancing.
It would be possible to eliminate SARS-CoV-2 from some regions while it continued to circulate in others. In a global village it takes little time to spread again in an eradicated region.
Available evidence suggests that the virus is predominantly transmitted between people through respiratory droplets and close contact, but there are also examples of transmission between humans and animals. Several animals that have been in contact with infected humans, such as minks, dogs, domestic cats, lions and tigers, have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.
All available evidence for COVID-19 suggests that SARS-CoV-2 has a zoonotic source. So we cannot completely eradicate it.
What you can do with what you propose is control it substantially. That ‘s all!
Q: When will the corona fully end?
Krishna: Never! As long as life exists on this planet, corona virus too survives.
Yes, Corona virus will never be completely gone!
