Are science communicators hostile?

Q: Why are there so many "science communicators" so hostile against space colonization, transhumanism, posthumanism etc? And why do they say "science is not belief" for impose their scientific opinions as literal objective facts?

Science is not a belief system because it relies on empirical evidence, rigorous testing, and the willingness to revise or abandon theories in light of new findings. Belief systems, on the other hand, often involve acceptance of ideas without rigorous proof or the capacity to be modified by new evidence. They don’t agree for falsification or consider it.

“Impose their scientific opinions as literal objective facts?”

Generally people who accuse scientists of these things don’t know the difference between just opinions and evidence based facts.

Objective facts are statements of truth that are verifiable and don't depend on personal opinions or feelings. They are based on evidence and can be confirmed by others. If I say something as a scientist or a science communicator, I always try to provide you with evidence. When a scientist says something, It usually won’t be an opinion, it will be an evidence based fact. Even what you call ‘opinions’ are shaped by evidence and data, not by emotions or blind beliefs.

You can check them yourself. You can try to falsify them.

Arguments in science are settled by new and better versions of data. Scientific disputes are commonly presented and settled in journal publications. Most are resolved by a weighing of evidence and new findings, not by opinions or by the measure of who can speak louder.

There is no imposition. We are asking to check. We are asking you to disprove our statements. We are asking you to falsify our data. Go do it right now.

But if you can’t, just don’t try to complain and ask questions like why do they do this?

Anything that doesn’t stand up to thorough scientific scrutiny will be discarded mercilessly.

In any debate the experts ( with their qualifications and experience) have earned the right to be authoritative. You can question them but using only the right scientific way. You can challenge them using only the scientific method.

No complaints in an unscientific way please. We know only one language, the scientific method. You have to follow it if you want to deal with this field and us. Period!
