The Idler was born of a combination of concepts discovered while exploring various domains of knowledge during the second half of the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s.

Science and Art - perfection and imperfection

When we deal with science, everything has to be perfect & stand the test of time. We have to follow the rules strictly here. If we are dealing with a scientific or a technological invention that is not perfect, we won't get the desired results & sometimes we might even have to face risks os even losing lives. Let us take the example of a car that is only 99% perfect. If its steering or brakes don't work properly because they are imperfect, we run a risk while driving such a car. Does…

Reinfused

"Reinfused" is basically a rehash of the material presented in "Lifeforce," but with an emphasis on shifting time, forward movement, and dynamism, to suggest the removal of obstacles from the path of a process which is then finally allowed to follow its course toward completion.

The piece is an instrumental. Here is the…

HOW MULTITASKING LEADS TO IGNORANCE

How multitasking leads to ignorance

By Andrew Olendzki

© Mark Harwood

When the Buddha says, “I know of no single thing more conducive to great harm than an unrestrained mind,” I think he is referring, in part, to the current penchant for multitasking. When the mind tries to do several things at once, it does not do any of them very well. This is an empirical fact proven by numerous experiments, and it is easy to test out for yourself: try texting a message while… Continue

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN CELEBRITY CULTURE?

Just 30 minutes. Yes, that is the time I require to read a news paper of 20 pages. Because I don’t have time to read all those silly things politicians say and strange stories – half of them untruths – about celebrities like movie, TV, Rock & Pop stars, sports persons and WAGS media wants us to believe as great ones. Recently one of my friends invited me to a party. She tried to woo me by saying a famous cricketer had agreed to attend it. “I am not coming”, I firmly told her. “Why you… Continue
