THE TRUE ARTIST

Not from some pedantic School of art,

Art is something straight from the heart.

Composition,perspective and tonal value,

Gives birth to artworks so very untrue.

An artist is one born,with God's very own blessing;

In creativity and colour,he'll be found always messing.

No nerd from the herd,painting something absurd;

With insanity he's toiling,someday he'll be heard.

Realism is something best left to the rules,

Definitely not,one of the true artists… Continue

COMING HOME

Coming Home

Home is the realization that we are not separate from anything, there is only "this", our natural condition. Our idea that there is a separate sense of self, separate from all of "this" is what keeps us from this

realization. No object, or being exist independent of itself; How can

it? When there is a sense of a separate self there is something…

Save our Tigers

In search of a safe home

Why is the Royal Bengal Tiger visiting the Football stadium? To play football? “No”, is the answer. Then why is it here? Let us hear the answer from the mouth of the tiger itself.

“Hello, Homo sapiens, are you scared to see me here? You are, I am pretty sure. That is why you ran away. But why am I here?

I am here in search of a safe home. Because, men, you destroyed my home, killed my family… Continue

Short review of 2009 and a few projects for 2010.

Hello!

Time again to review my 2009 and to plan some projects for 2010.

The past year had been a little bit monotonous, so, to avoid to be boring, I decide to do not write it month by month, but by subjects.

Effectively, to start with my "main" activity, I am afraid to have to write: "Plans for magazines: 9.30 to 22.30, 7/7, 12 months a year! Not really glamorous, indeed! To be fair, I contribute to fill 6 issues of "Batailles & Blindés", 6 issues of "TnT",… Continue

Blessings to the folks who run this site, Especially Krishna who does such a great chore of love.

Dear my beloved friends, this is the most beautiful site. Full of lovely photographs and sweetness, the scent of sandlewood, the words ob Buddha, the poetry of Rumi, the laughing faces of my dear friends. I am in a paradise where there is no conflict, only love amongst our fellow beings. How can I think of the differences between any of us. We are the same, my heart is yours and yours is mine. Our thoughts are of beauty and kindness. You have all changed my live, you have made me a better man… Continue

In the Grip of Discovery and Creativity

Very often we artists will be in a world of our own. When an idea grips us - we feel as if our minds are on fire. Yes, they start burning!

I am in several creative fields. I am also in the field of science which has me completely in its grip. When I want to find out something- for days, months and years I cut off the whole world. I become very absent-minded (my

painting "The mind of a scientist" describes this well. You can see it here:… Continue

James Cameron's AVATAR has the most beautiful artwork in a film ever

AVATAR is a film version of an exquisite gemstone faceted with thousands, if not millions of bejeweled faces, components and appearances.

Sure, there are very slight flaws in story, characters and dialogue, but as a whole work this movie is wonderful, magnificent, breathtaking, exhilarating, astonishing, superb and will expand the possibilities of film, cinema and plain ole movies for years and years to go.

James Cameron and Fox should be applauded for taking such a bold… Continue

Cry Babies have the right to cry, Art World

"10 paintings by famous Indian artists didn't sell at the latest Christies auction" is the title of a recent article in an art news magazine. One upcoming artist commented: "They got the treatment they deserved". A well established artist objected to it. He said: "Cry babies don't know how to compete. You couldn't compete well & therefore didn't become famous. You are jealous about the success of established artists. That is why you are happy now".

When I thought about these two… Continue

How Global Are We?

The word “global” was on my mind for the past several months as I was trying to find the true meaning of the word and I feel the members here can help me in doing so.

I noticed during my observation of the internet that although the modern transport systems and various media especially the World Wide Web bring human beings from all parts of the world together, most people still think and understand things from their own points of view and not from a global one when they deal with… Continue
